Bio

Irene is completing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology (M.Psy.) at Adler Professional Graduate School. She holds an Honours B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Criminology and Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. Irene is involved in various aspects of client care, including assessments, therapy, and case management. She is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Frida Marshi Nasser, C.Psych., Clinical and Rehabilitation Supervising Psychologist.

Driven by a strong belief in each person's inherent capacity for growth and resilience, Irene dedicates herself to nurturing and unlocking this potential in every individual she works with. Her own lived experiences and encounters with mental health stigma fuel her passion to transform the narrative and trajectory of individuals' journeys toward positive mental wellness. Her goal is to guide individuals through a process of self-discovery, help them break free from negative thought patterns and behaviours, heal from the past, and discover their most authentic and empowered selves. She equips her clients with the confidence and tools they need to navigate challenges with resilience and conviction, allowing them to have healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Irene takes a holistic, collaborative, and client-centred approach to providing treatment and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, stress, and more. She is particularly interested in working with children and families to help them navigate emotional challenges and strengthen family bonds, fostering the conditions for supportive and connected relationships.

Utilizing an integrative approach, Irene draws on various therapeutic modalities to effectively meet each individual's unique needs. These include Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
