Bio
Iman holds a B.Sc. in Psychology with Counselling Skills and a diploma in Social Service Work. She brings six years of experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, including trauma, schizophrenia, disability, and addiction. Her background includes work in hospitals, communities, and justice-involved populations. She holds certifications in suicide alertness, overdose prevention, CPR, and workplace safety.
Iman’s current clinical focus is on psychological assessments, including those for MVA (Motor Vehicle Accidents) and WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board), to gain further experience in psychodiagnostics testing and differential diagnosis. In addition to her assessment work, she is expanding her skills in therapy and has a strong interest in working with clients in a counselling capacity.
Iman integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques she has studied, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and plans to incorporate these into her practice with clients. She is working toward registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
Iman is committed to fostering an empowering, client-centered approach where individuals are supported in understanding their challenges and developing coping strategies. She aims to create a safe and collaborative space for clients to explore their strengths, work through difficulties, and make informed decisions to improve their well-being.
