Bio:

Maysa is a currently completing her Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (MPsy) at Adler Graduate Professional School. As a student therapist, she is interested in working with adult clients and has an interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.

Maysa was drawn to psychology because she wanted to better understand how past experiences, relationships, and emotions can shape a person’s well-being. This inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others better understand themselves and move toward positive change. Her approach to therapy is warm, calm, and collaborative. Maysa understands that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and she aims to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel at ease expressing themselves. She believes therapy is most helpful when clients feel listened to and accepted. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients can openly work toward change that feels meaningful to them.

Maysa acknowledges that every client brings unique and personal experiences to therapy. For this reason, she believes that therapy should be adapted to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. She hopes to help clients increase self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain greater understanding and self-compassion.

Maysa is fluent in English and understands Farsi, allowing her to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds.

Outside of academics, Maysa enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family and friends.
